CORU Annual Report reveals growth in 2021
The CORU Annual Report 2021 shows progress in delivering regulation for health and social care professions in Ireland and a 15% increase in registrants in a year.
While the total number of registrants now stands at 22,866, section 4 reveals that 207 dispensing opticians are registered on the Optical Registration Board compared to 203 in 2020 and 933 optometrists versus 895.
Ginny Hanrahan, CEO of CORU, said the Annual Report showed "excellent achievements and growth", thanking the team for "their tireless work and dedication navigating a pandemic".
